Me

By Art Weiland

Art Weiland, born on February 11, 1962, the youngest of 6 kids. All of my siblings are married and have kids. All total I am "Uncle Art" to 11 kids, though my best friend in Dallas Texas has 2 kids that call me Uncle also. I was raised Catholic, and most of my family still is. 2 siblings have switched religions. Growing up, I lived in 2 houses, and Mom still lives in the second one. My Dad did pass away in December of '99, from cancer, after battling it for about 14 months. At that time both of his brothers also had cancer. In case your curious, Dad was definitely in favor of Lynn and I being together. I went to grade school and High School in Madison, participating in track, speech and drama. Graduating in 1980. For college I went to Doane in Crete, NE. and received a Bachelors of Arts, in

Psychology after 4 years. Since then I have worked for the State of Nebraska, in a variety of capacities, from being staff in group homes, to in-home support on parenting skills, transportation provider, coordinating juveniles to get court ordered evaluations, to my current position of processing applications for Medicaid and food stamps. My hobbies are horseback riding; watching old westerns, playing volleyball and doing counted cross-stitch. Oh, and spending time with Lynn. That quickly sums it up.

Christmas

By: Lynn Spieker

The sun is setting earlier in the evenings and temperatures are dropping, which means fall is just around the corner.

With fall coming on brings fewer vacations, back to school and then the holidays. And with the holidays coming on, brings the annual Christmas name exchange. The kids names have been picked, contact Sue (Hengler) Spieker for details and or questions. The adult names will be drawn during the first week in September.
